Reverend William G. Wallace, a devoted servant of God and a deeply cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a profound legacy of faith, love, and community service.
For 43 of his 45 years of service, Reverend Wallace dedicated his life to the ministry of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Gray Manor in Dundalk, Maryland. From 1975 to 2017, he offered spiritual guidance, comfort, and unwavering support to his congregation, leaving an indelible mark through thousands of baptisms, weddings, and funerals. Among his many lasting impacts was founding the Global Cross Ministry, which shared small wooden crosses and the message of God's love with people all over the world. His life was a true testament to his faith, defined by his kindness, wisdom, and a compassionate heart that touched countless lives across the community. Outside of his ministry, his greatest joy and proudest achievement was his family, to whom he was fiercely devoted.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth R. Wallace, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and shared devotion. He was the proud and supportive father of his daughter, Kimberly A. Lipka, and his son, William C. Wallace. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Larry, and his daughter-in-law, Lori, both of whom he loved and treated entirely as his own children. His legacy also lives on through his six cherished grandchildren, Chase, Sean, Logan, Ryan, Austin, and Brayden, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Reverend Wallace will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family, friends, and the many individuals whose lives were transformed by his ministry, grace, and global outreach.
The family will receive friends at the family-owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc. 7922 Wise Ave. on Thursday (10/8/2026) from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. Rev.
