On January 27, 2012 Virginia Haile Ramsey passed away. She is survived by Wilbur O. Ramsey, her husband of 69 years, and her children Bennett H. Ramsey of Greensboro NC, Thomas F. Ramsey of Exeter NH, Martha R. David of Newark NJ and Catherine R. Kane of Bel Air MD. Also surviving are grandchildren Adam R. Seipp , David O. Ramsey, Elisabeth G. Ramsey and great-grandson Rowan K. Seipp.

Her family was her life. She grew up in Towson, attending Towson High School and Duke University, and graduating from Goucher College. She taught mathematics at Towson HS in the mid-1940's. She was very active with the Towson United Methodist Church and the Girl Scouts of Central MD.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Contributions in her name may be made to the Child Development Center at Towson United Methodist Church, 501 Hampton Lane, Towson MD 21286.
