It is with heavy hearts the family of Susan Borowy, announces her passing on February 26, 2025, at age 66. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Her passing leaves a void her family cannot fill.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joe Borowy of 35 years; devoted mother of Jake B. Borowy, Rebecca M. Rosenblatt and her husband John and Cody M. Borowy and his wife Gillian; loving grandmother of Cameron Rosenblatt and Connor Rosenblatt; loving daughter of the late Herbert and Rosemarie Meyer; dear sister of Lawrence Meyer and his wife the late Angie Meyer, James Meyer and his wife Denise and the late Joseph and Brian Meyer.

As the second of five children, she was the only girl.  Sue attended Patapsco High School before going to work at the University of Maryland School of Medicine where she worked for 36 years. She retired from the Department of Psychiatry where she was well known and admired.

Susan believed in serving her community.  She instilled this in her family by being a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and by volunteering with her local civic association.

Susan was an exemplary mother figure and human being. She led by example, practicing patience and kindness in her daily life. She embodied the best qualities; unconditional love, strength, and an unending generosity that could be seen in her care for her family and friends. She will be missed every day.

Visitation will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9th, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 10th, at 9 AM. Interment, Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
