On September 18, 2024, Suitbertus M.L. van der Meer (95) died peacefully in Cockeysville, Maryland. He was the beloved husband for 68 years of Annamarie van der Meer (nee Koitser), and the devoted father of Marietta V. Kelly and her husband George W. Kelly, and Peter N van der Meer and his wife Antonia D. van der Meer. He was the dear grandfather of George W. Kelly, Jr., Henry H. Kelly, Howard A. Kelly, Louisa R. Kelly, Nicolaas A. van der Meer, Natalie L. van der Meer, Theodore L. van der Meer and Tessa A. van der Meer, and great grandfather of Logan, Macenzie and Phoenix van der Meer.
