Stephen Robert Doudiken, 69, died suddenly on August 24, 2026. Steve was the oldest son of the late Robert and Althea Doudiken. He is survived by his sister Amy Wells (Glenn) and brother Thomas Doudiken, as well as nephews Samuel Wells and James Wells (Hanna) and nieces Julia Wells and Chrissy Bauer. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Darleen Bauer and nephew Franklin Wells.
Steve was a music teacher who gave individual lessons in piano, guitar, drums and other instruments for over 30 years. He was a devoted teacher and musician. He was curious, intellectual, and politically progressive. Steve was an avid reader and especially enjoyed history and enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music. He was the guitarist in a punk rock band, Infant Lunch, in the 80's. He will be greatly missed by his family and his eclectic group of friends and fellow musicians. His impact on his students will continue to fill this world with music. He was a cat lover and his most recent companion was his cat named Harry.
The family will receive friends at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. Towson, MD on Thursday, September 3rd from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at Havenwood Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Ridgely Rd, Lutherville, MD 21093 on Saturday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. The interment will be private. Donations may be made to the Defenders of Animal Rights at www.adopt-a-pet.org .
