It is with deep regret, we announce the passing of Sophie V. Harbert (nee Mentis), aged 95, who passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 21, 2024, from complications due to blood clots.

Sophie was born June 10, 1929, in Baltimore, MD, she lived in Ft. Worth, TX for the past 40 years. She was the beloved spouse of Harry J. Harbert, who passed in 2013.

She enjoyed playing the piano and was an avid ballroom dancer, golfer, and bowler. She also loved to cook and swim in her pool. Her caretakers all said she was very funny in her last days.

Sophie is survived by her two daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Resurrection Chapel at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery on Thursday at 10:00am.
