On August 29, 2026, Shirley Lee Payne, beloved wife of the late Henry F. Payne, devoted mother of Crystal L. Cox, Sharon A. Grant, and the late Sandra D. Payne, loving grandmother of John, Joshua, Robert and Amber, cherished great-grandmother of Megan, Alonna, Addyson, Aadyn, Wyatt, Charlie, Juliet, Blake, Henry and Elynor, dear sister of Margaret, Kay, Delores, Virginia, and the late William, Charles, Lewis Jr., Evelyn, Rose Marie, James, and Betty.

The family will receive friends at the family-owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc. 7922 Wise Avenue on Thursday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  Mrs. Payne will lie in state at Calvary Baptist Church 7321 Manchester Road, Dundalk, MD 21222 on Friday from 9 to 10 AM where the funeral service will also be held on Friday at 10 AM.  Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.
