Sandra Knapp Smith passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. Sandie is predeceased by her beloved husband the late Robert Smith; and survived by her cherished sisters Jean Knapp Andrews and Nancy Knapp Parisi; dear friend Marshada Keener; and chosen family Sab, Ashley, and Astrid Prausnitz.

Sandie was born in 1941 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. She spent the last 20 years of her career at GBMC as nurse in the NICU where she met her husband Bob, who was an electrician in the Maintenance Department. She was a great friend.
