On March 12, 2010 Ruth Patricia Hays daughter of the late Ruth S. Ryan and John J. Ryan II;she is survived by her husband of 43 years, George A. Hays and her sons John P. Hays of Baltimore, James W. Hays of Freeland and her niece kelly R. Chesser of Baltimore. Mrs. Hays was a graduate of Johns Hopkins University who worked for years as a medical technologist,then later as a travel agent after raising her family. She continued to work part time until she was 76 years old. Mrs.Hays volunteered throughout her life in civic and Catholic charities including;Christopher Place,Our Daily Bread,the Mount Washington Assoc.,the Shrine of the Sacred Heart,The Mount Washington Country School and the Baltimore Unit of Serra International. She was a former foster mother through Catholic Charities to 2 other children. She is also survived by 2 other nieces;4 great nieces and 2 great nephews.
