Richard Lee Meyers
July 17, 1940 — May 24, 2026

Richard "Dick" Lee Meyers, 85, of Timonium, Maryland passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Catonsville to Roland and Edna Meyers, Dick grew up with a strong sense of patriotism, duty, and service to others. After graduating from high school, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably.

Following his military service, Dick built a successful career in the growing field of information technology.  He held individual contributor and management roles in coding and programming which led to his position as an executive technology recruiter prior to his retirement in 2011.  Dick was known throughout his community for his hard work, kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need. He enjoyed cooking and baking, golf, camping, gardening, cruising, and spending summers on the Chester River…most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Dick is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Leona "Lee" Meyers; his children and their spouses, Chris Meyers (Terry), Melanie Sipes (John), Karen Parr (Ken), and his cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Olivia, Garrett, Julia, and Mason.  He was so proud of all of them.

Family will be holding a small private service prior to his internment at Dulaney Memorial Gardens on Monday June 8.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to veteran support organizations in Dick's memory.
