BAGHERI, RASHID

Dr. Rashid (Ray) Bagheri, of Towson, Maryland, passed away peacefully at his home on June 8, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Azar Bagheri, a devoted father to Pari Bagheri, David Bagheri and his wife Elina, Crystal Bagheri, and Ashley Bagheri Sadri and her husband Arash. He was a cherished grandfather to Sophia Randlett, Jessica Bagheri, Danielle Bagheri, Layla Bagheri, and Cameron Sadri. Dr. Bagheri is also survived by his dear sister, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, family members, colleagues, and friends.

Born in Tabriz, Iran, Dr. Bagheri made Maryland his home in 1963. He earned his PhD from American University and dedicated his career to teaching statistics and economics in the University of Maryland school system. A passionate traveler and gym enthusiast, he took immense pride in his family and his home in the Hampton neighborhood of Towson.

The family will receive loved ones and friends at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens Chapel, 200 E. Padonia Rd., Timonium, MD 21093, on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 10:00–11:30 a.m., with the burial to take place directly afterwards. A luncheon in Dr. Bagheri's honor will be held at 1 p.m. at Liberatore's Ristorante in Timonium.
