Obituary

Rachel Miller (nee Perkins), cherished wife of Jonathan Miller and loving mother of Max H. Miller, passed away on June 25, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Michele L. Heagey and the late Richard H. Perkins; loving sister of the late Ashley Perkins; dear stepdaughter of Keith Heagey; dear stepsister of Lauren (Nick) Kourtsounis; dear daughter-in-law of Randee (Jim) Hiltz; and dear sister-in-law of Jodee (Jaye) Evans; also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Rachel was a 2001 graduate of Towson Catholic High School and attended University of Baltimore. She pursued a career in Finance and Accounting after graduation. Most recently, she enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, spending quality time with her son Max. She took pride and enjoyed supporting her son's many sporting endeavors and spent most weekends cheering him on from the sideline during his wrestling matches.

Known for her vibrant spirit and love for animals , Rachel welcomed several furry companions into her home, including her cherished Reese, Stache, and Bootsy. Her warmth and enthusiasm lit up every gathering, leaving a lasting impression on her family and friends and we will always carry her memory in our hearts.

Being a resident of the Hereford community, Rachel was really drawn to the mission and purpose of My Neighbors Foundation, an organization in the Hereford Zone that provides students of all ages the chance to participate equally in school and community activities. In lieu of flowers, if you or others would like to contribute, you can visit their donation page directly at https://myneighborsfoundation.org/donate/ as a meaningful way to honor Rachel's values and support a cause she cared deeply about.

A celebration of Rachel's life will be held at a later date to honor her remarkable journey.
