On November 3, 2011 Paul Frederick Obrecht, at age of 82, passed away surrounded by his family. He was married in 1948 to his first wife, Marilyn Wilson Obrecht, for 53 years until she passed away on November 9, 2001. Mr. Obrecht leaves behind his second wife, the former Joy Smith of Clarksville, Mississippi whom he married in 2006; four sons: Paul Frederick Obrecht, Jr., George Frederick Obrecht, Thomas Frederick Obrecht, and Richard Frederick Obrecht, and one daughter, Susan Claire Obrecht Riehl; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Frederick Obrecht, and two sisters: Jane Emich of Baltimore, and Nancy Victor of Chicago. Two other sisters, Betty Obrecht Ghezzi and Dorris Obrecht Voneiff predeceased him.

A funeral service will be conducted at St. Thomas Church in Owings Mills, Maryland on Monday, November 7th, at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Thomas Church, 232 Saint Thomas Lane, Owings Mills, MD 21117-3800. Arrangements by Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc.
