Obituary

On April 15, 2025 Paraskevi "Vula" Stamatopoulos passed away in Towson, Maryland. She was the beloved wife of the late Gus Stamatopoulos.  She is survived by her devoted daughters; Effy Lamp (Richard Harmison), Kay Bianco (Robert), and Polly Stamatopoulos (Lisa King); and her loving grandchildren Conner Lamp, Jonathan Lamp, Benjamin Lamp, Alexis Bianco, and Sophia Bianco. She is also survived by members of the Stamatopoulos family in the United States; and in Greece, her nephew Tasos Kalpaktsoglou (Dionysia), and her niece Katerina Kalpaktsoglou; her aunt Mitsa Nydriotis, the Nydriotis family, and the Theodororakis family. Vula is predeceased by her beloved husband Gus Stamatopoulos, her brother Luka Dasopoulos, and her sister Zoe Kalpaktsoglou.

Family and friends are welcome to the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home (Beltway exit 26) on Wednesday, April 23 from 4-8 PM with a Trisagion service at 7 PM. The funeral service will take place at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (Parkville, MD) on Thursday, April 24 at 10:30 AM with a visitation from 10-10:30 AM. Interment to follow at St. Demetrios Cemetery.
