Our beloved mother and grandmother Paraskevi (Voula) Mimaros passed away peacefully January 19, 2025 at the age of 88 with her family by her side.  Voula was born in Greece in 1936 and lived in Athens where she met and married her true love Georgios.  She was a young nurse and raised 6 children in Greece before immigrating to the United States in 1974.  She started a new life in the Greek Community while having another child. She truly embodied the American dream of immigration and prosperity and lived a remarkable life.  She was a shepherd to multi generational family growth by instilling the importance of family, love, faith and kindness.  Never a stranger, Voula was beloved by everyone who knew her.  Her optimism, faith, and laughter was contagious.  She was truly a gift and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her 7 children: Dimitri Mimaros and his wife Argie, Stylianos Mimaros and his wife Helen, Maria Batis and her husband Nick, Kyriakos Mimaros and his wife Chanda, Despina Rizas and her husband Paul, Stavros Mimaros and his wife Maria and Aphrodite Georgelakos and her husband Peter.  She has 14 grandchildren, Eleni, Voula, Manuel, George, Kosta, Yianni, George, Paraskevi, George, Tsambika, Kosta, Dimitri, Paris, and Andrew.  She has 9 great grandchildren: Dillon, Nickie, Cason, Luke, Dorothea, Niko, Dimitri, Penelope, and Eleni.

Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd. (beltway exit 26), on Friday, January 24th, from 5 to 8 PM.  Mrs. Mimaros will lie-in-state at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 520 Ponca St., Baltimore, MD 21224, on Saturday, January 25th, from 10:15 to 10:45 AM, at which time a Funeral Service will begin.  Interment Oaklawn Cemetery.
