On March 8, 2025, Michael David Skladanek passed away at his home in Towson, MD. He was the devoted son of Florence Skladanek (nee Pietrowski) and the late Charles Skladanek; beloved husband of Martha Skladanek; loving brother of Ann Skladanek, Charles Skladanek, and Susan Kille (Robert); Michael is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew.

Mike loved his life and all the people and good times that filled it. He loved having a laugh with friends and family. Mike loved children, particularly the four young ones of dear friends. This Christmas he watched with joy as they were absolutely thrilled by the toys he had carefully shopped for and selected for them. His interests were many. He loved cooking, creating abstract paintings and bonsai.

Mike especially loved nature, and he really loved his fishing, which he was pretty good at. His favorite time and place was with Martha for weeks or months of the last 19 years at "The Loons Nest" on Sharbot Lake in Ontario Canada. This last year was the best, as he was pleased to have his family spend several weeks at the lake.

Gracie and Shadow his dog and cat will miss him terribly.

The family will receive friends at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26) on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 3:00-4:00pm at which time the Memorial Service will begin.
