Michael Joseph Hazuda

9.5.1938 – 2.9.2025

On Sunday February 9th my father transitioned from this lifetime to the next. It was a privilege to be there holding his hand and having conversation with Todd. While I was my father's daughter we knew that Todd was his favorite.

My father was born in Brownsville Pennsylvania to Mike & Elsie nee Cornet Hazuda. He spoke of car racing on the mountains. Once he graduated he decided to join the Army with an assignment to Co C 97th Signal Brigade. He was a sharpshooter and was honorably discharged. He travelled to Maryland, specifically Dundalk in search of employment with Bethlehem Steel. This turned into a long career as a foreman in Plate Mill Shipping.  He wed the love of his life, Dolores. When she passed early in our life he raised a willful daughter as a single widower when this was not the norm.

His next life began when he met Johanna. They wed and raised a blended family. He started his second career with the Register of Wills, Baltimore Co.   As the saying goes, third time is a charm. Together with his life companion and friend, Margaret, 'Peggy' Rosendale, they enjoyed thirty + years of friends, social life and travelling to Las Vegas.

Not sure what this journey will include for my dad; however, I know that he was met by many loved ones and his beloved cats & dogs.

My father is survived by Lisa Hazuda – McGee; daughter & Todd McGee; son-in-law
