On December 30, 2010, MELBA L. ZIERCHER BUWALDA (nee Borgschulte) age 79, born Sept. 28, 1931, joined her late husband John Buwalda and parents William and Irene Borgschulte, her sister Elsie Davis, and brothers Clifton and Dorwood in Heaven. Melba was a devoted mother of daughter Pam VanWinkle, husband Steve, daughter Cindi Stadelmeier, husband Jack, son John Ziercher and wife Kim. Loving grandmother of Lisa, Brian, and Ross VanWinkle, and Joseph and Jonah Ziercher. Also survived by brother Gerald Borgschulte and his wife Irene and former husband John Ziercher, Sr.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oak Crest Village Chapel 8820 Walther Blvd., Parkville, MD. Reception to follow. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
