On April 27, 2009, after a long illness, MARY E. VOGEL (nee Gay), 80. Mrs. Vogel was born on January 30, 1929 in Jefferson City, Missouri and was the youngest of three children. She completed two years at Jefferson City Junior College and subsequently worked as a Secretary for several companies. She was married in 1952 to Ralph Vogel and is survived by her daughter, Gretchen Basen of Towson, Maryland, her brother Nelson Gay of Sarasota, Florida, nieces, and nephews, including Ernest Vogel of Kingport, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Mildred Miller.

The family will receive friends at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home Inc., 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26), Friday, August 14th, from 6 to 7 PM, at which time a Memorial Service will be held. Inurnment St. Joseph Memorial Park, St. Joseph, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
