Mary Muratore peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the age of 94.  She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 23, 1930, to the late Sante and Rosalinda Muratore (Monteferrante). She was preceded in death by her sister Susanne Healy (Muratore) and brother-in- law Edward L. Healy Jr. Mary was the dear aunt of the late Edward L. Healy III and survived by his wife Mary Louise Healy (DiMarco). She is also survived by her devoted niece Rosalind M. Healy, and her cherished great nieces and nephews, Diana Parisi (Healy) and husband Marc, Edward L. Healy IV, Michael A. Healy, Angela G. Healy, and Gloria R. Healy. Also survived by two great great nephews, Leo William, and Andrew David Parisi who lifted her spirits with every visit.

Mary grew up in Little Italy, graduated from St. Leo's School and the Institute of Notre Dame. After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Johns Hopkins University and Maryland Institute College of Art, she pursued her career of teaching art in Baltimore City public schools. Mary also earned a Master's degree in Education from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Notre Dame of Maryland University.

Mary traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe, including Italy where she visited her relatives. She also was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and for many years had her own season tickets.

She spent countless hours tracing her Italian family ancestry and sharing the lineage with her entire family.

She enjoyed her pursuit of knowledge and continued to expand her education throughout her life by taking courses at Towson University, Goucher College and the Community College of Baltimore County. In her retirement years, she continued to learn new forms of art including weaving, jewelry and lace making.
