On May 11, 2011 Mary Elizabeth Kerr (nee Thatcher) died. She was born on March 13, 1930 in Canton, OH to Gertrude and Edward Thatcher. Beloved wife of 38 years to the late Thomas Stewart Kerr; devoted mother of Catherine Gvozden of Severna Park, MD, Barbara Murphy of Chesapeake, VA, Douglas Kerr of Cockeysville, MD and Nancy Kerr of Arlington, VA; loving grandmother of Daniel, Michael, Andrew and Cassie Gvozden; Tim, Matthew and Meredith Murphy; Jennifer and Jeffrey Kerr; and Hailey Kerr; dear sister of the late Edward Thatcher; preceded in death by her beloved dog and trusted friend Bethany. Mary graduated from Bowling Green University where she majored in English and Physical Education. After raising the children she went to work as a teacher's aide at The Ridge School, her favorite job. Her fondest memories were at Bethany Beach, DE.
