On August 16, 2025, Mary June Burgess passed away peacefully, in Cockeysville, Maryland.  She was born on June 6,1927 to the late Lucretia Davis Hawkins in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.  She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Justin Burgess; devoted mother of Henry J. Burgess, Jr and his wife, Leslie, of Leonardtown, Maryland and Davis E. Burgess and his wife, Laura, of Kittridge, Colorado.  Mary is also survived by four grandsons and their spouses, three step grandchildren and their spouses, as well as 8 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.

Mary taught ballroom dancing and ballet in her early adult life and was an avid golfer. However, her true devotion was to her family and raising her two sons, enjoying her grandchildren and lovingly caring for both her husband and mother in their elder years.

A private Memorial Service and inurnment will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Towson, Maryland.
