On September 2, 2025, Marie J. Thurston (nee Weiland), beloved wife of the late Kent W. Thurston; loving daughter of the late Bernie (Papa Joe) Weiland and the late Alice Weiland; devoted mother of Christina Thurston, Leif Thurston and his wife Erin Kelly, Kirk Thurston and his wife Lydia Thurston; loving grandmother of Erika, Dane, Erin, Kara, Brooke, Matthew, David, Kelsey, and Brittany; dear sister of the late Richard (Dick) Weiland, the late Lori Patros, the late David Weiland, and the late Sue Welch; also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

She was dedicated to God and her entire family. She enjoyed needlepointing, and all sorts of arts and crafts. Spending time back in Wisconsin visiting with family, was always a great source of joy.

Friends may call at the family owned Ruck-Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (at beltway exit 26) on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, 3-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 11, 2025, 11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cockeysville, 100 Church Lane, Cockeysville 21030. Interment private.
