Margaret Mary
Trojan
d. Jan 17, 2026
Margaret Mary Trojan (February 4, 1947 - January 17, 2026)
Margaret Mary Trojan was born on February 4, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Margaret Duff, the first of five siblings. She grew up around the corner and a few blocks from Edward "Ed" Trojan who she started dating after asking to borrow his records and sharing their love of music.
"Margie" and Ed married in 1970 and started their life in Horsham, Pennsylvania before moving to Warminster where they met a group of lifelong friends on Claire Road. Their son, Jim, was born in 1976 followed less than a year later by their daughter, Kate. Margie worked nights and weekends as a lab technician at Abington Hospital then Holy Redeemer Hospital, and started her Bachelors Degree in Economics at Temple University.
When the family relocated to Baltimore, Maryland in 1991 Margie completed her degree and graduated from Towson University, and dedicated her life to being a mother and wife. She was an avid trail walker, golfer, bridge player, and read voraciously. She loved decorating, gardening and hosting get-togethers at their home. She also volunteered for NAMI Baltimore, served on their Homeowners' Association, and the Friends of Hereford Public Library Board.
After her first grandchild was born in 2007, she embraced her role of "Nanny" to her five grandsons. She loved taking them to the beach, going to their school, music and sporting events, and giving them all the sweet treats they could ever want.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ed Trojan; son Jim and his wife Demi (Hyres) and their son, Jefferson; daughter Kate and her husband Chris (Conway) and their boys Cole, Brody, Wyatt and Jase; her sister Joanne (Meikle), brothers Joey (Elva), Jimmy and David Duff (Pam), sister-in-law Joanne (McGrath); multiple nieces and nephews, and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sheppard Pratt Office of Philanthropy. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
