On May 31, 2025, Margaret Mary Leisher (nee Groom), passed away peacefully in Phoenix, MD. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Leisher; devoted mother of Mary Theresa Schmidt, William James Leisher, Jr., and David Frank Leisher and his wife Amy He; loving grandmother of Brianna Creswell, Addison Leisher, Austin Leisher, Christina Leisher, and Bruce Poffenberger; dear sister of Dolores Alban.

Margaret took pride in being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a musician and taught guitar and banjo lessons, as well as entertainment jobs at nursing homes. She was always happy to talk about God and her faith. Margaret always had a kind word for anyone and enjoyed getting together with family and friends often.

Friends may visit at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (Beltway exit 26), Towson, MD on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelic Church, 13305 Long Green Pike, Hydes, MD on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10am. The interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. There will be a reception at St. John's Church Hall, following the burial.
