On June 17, 2026, Margaret (Peggy) S. Dunning passed away peacefully at the age of 85 in Timonium, MD. She was the devoted daughter of the late Howard and Bessie (nee Weller) Searing; beloved wife of 60 years of Rev. William M. Dunning; loving step-sister of the late Elizabeth Hall (James) and their sons Keith and William Hall; dear aunt of John William Brosnihan, Cheryl Park, and Paula Lehner (James).  Mrs. Dunning received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, and then enjoyed a long career as a medical assistant and secretary for a local internist, an endocrinologist, and in the obstetrics and gynecology department at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY.  She sang in church choirs throughout her life, and provided a loving home over the years to her cherished dogs, Laddie, Sir Timothy, Baron, and Siam.

Mrs. Dunning will lie-in-state at Sherwood Episcopal Church, 5 Sherwood Rd, Cockeysville, MD 21030, on Wednesday, June 24th from 11:00 am.-2:00 pm and where the Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday, June 25th at 11:30 am. The interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Dunning may be made to Sherwood Episcopal Church.
