Lynda C.
Lambert
d. Sep 6, 2026
Lynda C. Lambert (née Case) passed away on September 6th, 2026, in Baltimore, MD.
Lynda was born and raised in Baltimore City. Born on November 30th, 1946, to Mickey C. Case (née Bowman) and Lee L. Case, she grew up in northeast Baltimore, and attended Eastern High School, graduating in 1964. She earned her Bachelor's degree in drama at the University of Maryland, College Park. Lynda was a teacher, a career which she felt defined her life and who she was as a person. She was deeply proud of her work in Baltimore County Public Schools and as a long time adjunct professor at many local community colleges. Lynda was a writer, publishing several books, and writing for various local publications, including the Baltimore Sun.
Lynda loved to read and could always be found with a book in her hand, particularly cozy British mysteries. She also loved dancing, singing, and baking (famous for her breads and candies). Lynda loved crocheting and made many beautiful hats, blankets, and pillows for those she loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn L. Kelley (Kristina Dymond), also of Baltimore, MD, and by her grandchildren Mickey C. Kelley and John P. Kelley, her older sister Dacy V. Bellingham and brother-in-law Andrew Bellingham, nephew Matthew Bellingham (Heidi), nephew Daniel Bellingham (Maureen), brother Joshua L. Case (Laura) and niece Jennifer and nephew Scott. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Oscar, who is now a treasured member of the Kelley household.
