Obituary

On December 13, 2025 Louis A. Reinhardt, Jr., beloved husband of the late Evelyn Dougherty Reinhardt and brother of the late Phyllis Crowley, passed away peacefully at Stella Maris, Timonium MD. Beloved father of Francis X. Reinhardt and his wife Susan Corsi, Mary Reinhardt Dohmeier and her husband Gregory, and Kate Reinhardt Flowers and her husband Jack; loving grandfather of Emma Dohmeier Beebe and her husband Alex, Abby Dohmeier and her husband Nick Santos, Meghan K. Reinhardt, Jack C. Reinhardt and Erin Flowers.

Mr. Reinhardt attended St Mary's elementary school in Govans after which he graduated from Loyola High School in 1949 and then Loyola College (University) in the class of 1953. He also attended the University of Maryland School of Law obtaining his JD and passing the bar in 1960. After college he joined the Navy and served on board the USS Des Moines the flag ship of the 6th fleet in the Mediterranean from 1953 to 1955. After full time service in the Navy, he went into the reserves and joined Baltimore Federal Savings and Loan until 1986. He then became the chief of state Division of Savings and Loans for the state of Maryland.

Mr. Reinhardt was involved with the Lions Club and served on the boards of St. Mary's School, President of the St. Pius X Home & School Association, and Loyola College alumni association.

Mr. Reinhardt will lie in repose at Stella Maris Hospice Chapel, 2300 Dulaney Valley Rd, Timonium, MD 21093, on Monday, December 22nd, from 10:00 to 11AM at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Interment at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stella Maris Hospice.
