On December 9, 2025, Kenneth Burton Ames passed away peacefully at his residence in Bel Air, MD. He is the beloved husband of the late Nancy Lucille Ames (nee Wurzbacher); devoted father of John "Jack" K. Ames, Sharon A. Bechtel and her husband Rick, Susan N. Ciampaglio and her late husband Anthony, and the late Laura E. Ames; loving grandfather of Mark Ciampaglio and his wife Kelly, Lisa Carter and her husband Brad, Caitlin Osborn and her husband Grayson, and Kristen Bradley and her husband Scott; cherished great-grandfather of A.J. Ciampaglio, Luca Ciampaglio, Ellia Carter, Cayden Carter and Sophie Bradley; dear brother of John Ames and Ruth Clayton.
