On July 1, 2025, Kathy Halfter, beloved wife of the late Carl E. Halfter, Jr.; devoted mother of Mark E. Halfter and Carly H. Burns and her husband Robert; loving grandmother of Cora, Alexander and Ean; dear sister of Shelby Oxendine, Sonny Cummings, Bernice Tansil, Van Astor Cummings and Michael Cummings; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., 7922 Wise Ave. on Monday, July 21st, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A graveside service and interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Garrison Forest, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd., Owings Mills, MD 21117, on Tuesday, July 22nd, at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
