Kathy Burkart Salter, 68, died on August 1, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. Her loving husband, Barry Salter, was by her side. Kathy loved to travel; for 25 years she served as a volunteer to take students overseas every summer, visiting countries all over the world. She was a 16-year breast cancer survivor, who filled each of those years with love and adventure. After retirement, Kathy moved back to her hometown and married Barry in 2021.
