On June 10, 2025, Karen Marie Sheehan (nee Thygeson) passed away peacefully in Timonium, MD. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Patrick Sheehan, Jr.; devoted mother of Kirk Patrick Sheehan and his wife Kelly, Daniel Prince Sheehan, Peter Thygeson Sheehan and his wife Cindy, Mark Tobin Sheehan and his wife Kelly, and Thomas Patrick Sheehan, Ill. and his wife Ginny; loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; dear aunt of William Thygeson and his wife Cathy.

Karen lived a wonderful life filled with joy, laughter, and boundless love. She had a passion for dancing, a true talent for gardening, and found her greatest happiness in the company of her family.

Raising five sons was no small task, but Karen did it with patience, humor, and a spotless house-a truly remarkable achievement, considering the daily wear and tear caused by a household full of energetic boys.

Karen was the light of everyone's life, but most especially that of her devoted husband, Tom, who cherished her deeply throughout their life together. Their love was the steady foundation of the family, and her warmth and strength will live on in every life she touched.

Karen's legacy is one of love, strength, and a sparkling home that somehow always stayed two steps ahead of the muddy footprints.

Friends may call at the family-owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26) on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 3:00-7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Stella Maris Chapel on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 1:00pm. The interment will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 1:00pm at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery in Owings Mills, MD.
