On Friday, July 27, 2012 Julia Josephine (Mariany) Valenti, age 94, of Rehoboth Beach , DE, passed away peacefully at her residence with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles N. Valenti, who died on March 13, 2011. Devoted mother of Vincent Valenti (Brooklyn, NY), Chris Valenti (Lewes, DE), Anne Valenti-Storck and her husband Paul (Abingdon, MD) and Mary Valenti-Bloom (MD). Treasured YaYa to Anthony Valenti, Julia Bloom, Richard Bloom, Olivia Bloom and Nathaniel Valenti. Loving sister of Isabelle Pillis and her husband Luke, Anthony Rose and his wife Roberta, and the late Louis Mariany, Sr. and his surviving wife Doris, Rosina Dipino and her husband James Dipino , Palma McCord and her husband George and Joseph F. Rose . She was born in Elmhurst, NY on Saturday , May 8, 1918, daughter of the late Julius and Elvira Rose (Conversano) Mariany. Julia attended the Maryland Institute of Art with her husband, graduating with high honors. Julia worked in the field of cosmetology as a hair dresser and as a beauty consultant for Helena Rubenstein. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church , Bradshaw, Maryland for over 40 years and upon her retirement, she and her husband moved to Lewes, Delaware where she attended St. Edmond's Catholic Church of Rehoboth Beach, DE.

A Christian Wake Service will be held at the family owned Leonard J. Ruck, Inc. Funeral Home 5305 Harford Road (at Echodale) on Wednesday at 3:30pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 2, 2012 at 10:00am. Interment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery 4430 Belair Road, Baltimore, MD. Friends may call on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
