Judy Lane Kilheffer, born and raised in Prosperity, West Virginia, passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 83. A coal miner's daughter, Judy embodied resilience, love, and strength throughout her life.

In her early years, Judy moved to Baltimore, Maryland. She dedicated 35 years to nursing and retired as a Director of Medical Records. She found joy in painting, sewing, reading, and attending family gatherings. She also enjoyed going to the casinos and gambling, often recalling trips filled with laughter and luck with Richard.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Shirkey, Emma Doreen Shirkey Morris, and Bobby Morris, her sister Iris Faye Windon, and her brother Franklin Shirkey.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Kilheffer; her children: Sharon Powell and husband Randy, Annette Alt and husband Gerald, Jeffrey Lund and wife Janice, and Brian Kilheffer and wife Cara; her stepdaughter Ginney Gregory. Judy is also survived by her siblings: Kitty Asbury, Betty Duckworth, Drema Calhoun, Lonnie Morris, Lloyd Morris, and Mark Morris; as well as 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom will forever cherish her memory.

Judy's legacy is one of love, dedication, and family. She loved her family more than herself. Her effortless ability to provide laughter and fun into everyday moments brought joy to all who knew her. Her warmth and creativity touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at the family-owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc. 7922 Wise Avenue on Tuesday April 1, 2025 at 11:30 AM. Friends may visit on Monday March 31, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Interment Holly Hill Memorial Park.
