On September 7, 2025, Joseph Stanley Boddiford, Jr., passed away peacefully at his home in Timonium, MD, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born in September 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland. He grew up in Parkville-Carney and attended Calvert Hall College. Following his graduation, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, completing training at Parris Island, South Carolina. During this time, he worked closely with IBEW Local 24 and NECA, helping secure a new training facility for the Baltimore JATC, the same facility that stands today.
In recognition of his lifelong dedication to the trade and his leadership in advancing apprenticeship programs, Joe was inducted into the NECA Academy of Electrical Contracting in 2012, one of the highest honors in the electrical construction industry.
