John Fletcher Williams passed away on June 1, 2025 in Baltimore, MD at the age of 94. Born in Baltimore, MD on September 27, 1930, he was the son of the late John F. Williams, Sr. and the late Catherine M. Williams (nee Brent), beloved husband of the late Virginia B. Williams (nee Bixler) and step-father to the late Lynn C. Penner (nee Fraunholtz). He was the grandfather of Kristen Penner and wife Lorelei Mackenzie and Katrina Penner. He is also survived by a great-grandson, Caspian Penner-Mackenzie.

He is survived by nephew John Williams, niece Tamara Chelden (Wayne), niece Lisa Adams, niece Jennifer Cooney (Brian) and extended family Bernard Penner (Helga).

He was predeceased by his sister Lillain Wassenius (Otto), brother Howard Williams (Elma), sister Margaret Howland (William Howard) and nephew Jason Williams (Brenda).

He served proudly in the United States Army and the reserves for 17 years. Reaching the rank of Sergeant First Class he spent time in Germany and SHAPE – Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers of Europe. He and his wife were married for 47 years and lived in Parkville, MD until retiring to Port St. Lucie, FL and then returning later to Baltimore, MD. While living in Parkville he and his wife were long time members of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Before retiring he was employed as a purchasing manager for Graymar Company and Kidde. Upon moving to Port St. Lucie, FL he volunteered as the Deputy of the Quarter for the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.

Friends and family may visit at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (Beltway exit 26), Towson, MD on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 9-10 am. At 10 am services will be held in the chapel. The interment will follow at the Moreland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1601 Taylor Avenue, Parkville, MD.
