On April 6, 2010 John Oliver Simons died at Gilchrist Hospice Center, Towson, MD. He was born in Frostburg, MD to Oliver and Lillie Neff Simons on March 21, 1925 and joined an older sister Helen. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 60 years who resides at Glen Meadows Retirement Community; his son John ("Jack") and wife Janice of Cockeysville, MD, his daughter Katherine of Newark, DE, his son William and wife Terri of Olney, MD. He embraces 7 grandchildren: James and companion Amber, David and wife Laura, and Andrew, Mairn, William and companion Laura, Shaun and Alexandra Simons. His extended family includes loving nieces and nephews, and cherished friends from each chapter of his life.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 10th 1:00 PM at Towson Presbyterian Church, 400 W. Chesapeake Ave.; Towson, MD 21204 with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made through the church to PCUSA missionaries in Honduras, Tim & Gloria Wheeler. A private inurnment will follow the service.
