On October 22, 2025, John Wayne Nelson, beloved husband of Frances Marie Nelson (nee Irving), devoted father of Bonnie Sue Barcikowski and her husband Richard, and Janet Marie Warlick and her husband Daniel, cherished grandfather of Brandon Barcikowski, Courtney Heineman and her husband Aaron, Hannah Warlick, and Kayla Warlick, loving great-grandfather of Jacob Heineman.  Also survived by his sister Cathy Rinker and his brother Larry Nelson.

The family will receive friends at the family-owned Duda~Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc. 7922 Wise Ave. on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.  The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 7945 N.
