On October 14, 2024, John G. Frizzera, Sr., M.D., died peacefully in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Dr. Frizzera was the beloved husband of Luisa J. Frizzera (nee Picciotto) and the devoted father of Gina L. Wheeler and her husband Curt, John G. Frizzera, Jr. and his wife Gina, and Gabrielle F. Flowers and her husband Craig. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Lillian G. Wheeler, John G. Frizzera, III, Michael T. Frizzera, Christian X. Frizzera, Renzi L. Flowers, Emma F. Flowers and Caroline M. Flowers. Dr. Frizzera is predeceased by his parents Charles M. Frizzera and Lillian T. Frizzera (nee DeMay), his sister Claudia Frizzera and his brother Charles Frizzera.

John practiced medicine for more than 30 years, and brought thousands of children into the world. His love for his patients, and the art and science of medicine was only exceeded by his love for his wife and family. John never met a person he didn't like, and his talent for dispensing bone-crushing, yet comforting, bear hugs will be sorely missed.
