On May 4, 2026, John Whitcomb Brandenburg passed away in Lutherville, Maryland. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Miriam Lois Brandenburg. Loving father of Dawn Marie Holmes. Cherished grandfather of Brett T. Holmes, Morgan B. Holmes, Brandon W. Holmes and Stefan K. Holmes. Also a great-grandfather of Natalie D. Holmes, Jackson A. Holmes and Stella F. Holmes.

John was a member of the American Legion and served in the Army from  1953-1955.

Services to be determined at a later date.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in John's memory to St. Jude Claretians
