Joanne M. Gounaris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, nurse, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched countless lives.

She was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas L. Gounaris and the loving mother of Nicholas L. Gounaris, Daniel R. Gounaris, and Jarrett L. Gounaris. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Michelle, Karen, and Jennifer.

Joanne was a proud and devoted grandmother to the late Nicholas, Jake, Zack, Nate, Benjamin, and Brooks, and a loving grandmother-in-law to Jake's wife, Niki. She was also a treasured great-grandmother to Ava, Charlotte, and Lilly.

Joanne dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She worked as a registered nurse at Maryland General Hospital and later continued her nursing career by providing care in patients' homes. She also worked as a bookkeeper.

Joanne and her family lived in Fallston, Maryland, while her children were growing up. She later moved to Mendham, New Jersey, before returning to Maryland and making her home in Lutherville.

A member of the Roland Park Women's Club, Joanne enjoyed gardening and painting. Above all, she loved being a grandmother and spending time with her family.

Joanne will be remembered for her caring heart, her devotion to her family, and the love she shared so freely. Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
