On January 14, 2011, in Blue Springs, Missouri, Jeffrey Lloyd Smetana, Sr.; beloved husband of Teres Smetana; devoted father of Erik L. Smetana of York, PA, Joshua R. Smetana and Jeffrey L. Smetana, Jr., both of Blue Springs, MO.; loving son of Vivian M. (nee Lloyd) and the late Robert J. Smetana, Sr. of Cambridge, MD.; dear brother of Robert J. Smetana and his wife Patti of Elm Grove, LA., Gary N. Smetana and his wife Elizabeth of Florence, SC., Mark W. Smetana and his wife Jean of Huntingtown, MD. and Michele Townsley and her husband Greg of Fleetwood, PA. Also survived by twelve nephews and seven nieces.

A Christian Wake service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc., 7922 Wise Ave. on Wednesday at 8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Hope church on Thursday at 10 AM. Interment Holy Rosary Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.
