On January 14, 2025, Jane Ruth Murphy (nee Hanson), passed away peacefully at her residence in Essex, MD. She was the devoted mother of Robert Murphy (Virginia), Patrick Murphy (Debbie), Albert Murphy, Jr. (Terri), and Timothy Murphy (Barbara); grandmother of many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; beloved sister of the late Claude J. Hanson, Jr., Robert Hanson, Donald Hanson, and Phyllis Brodrick.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26) on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 10:30am. The interment will follow at Moreland Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 2:00-5:00pm.
