On August 24, 2025, James Linwood Gay Jr.; beloved husband of the late Carol Louise Gay; devoted father of Karen Abney and her husband Michael, and James Gay III and his wife Jan, loving grandfather of Zachary Abney, Collin Gay, and Corey Gay; dear brother of the late Lois Kern. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Gardens of Faith Memorial Gardens.
