Obituary

JAMES ROBERT FOUST SEPTEMBER 10, 1933 - OCTOBER 21, 2026

James (Jim) Robert Foust of Baltimore, Maryland passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026.

Born on September 10, 1933, Jim was a lifelong resident of Dundalk. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. After being discharged for his military service, he returned to Bethlehem Steel where he worked for 30 years. Jim then worked for the Baltimore Orioles, where he served as a club level usher for 25 years.

When not working, Jim enjoyed traveling. He loved staying in cabins in West Virginia with family, time in Ocean City, and planning long drives with friends to their favorite restaurants on Sundays after church. Jim planned and enjoyed many trips to Disney World with his children and grandchildren. He was an active member of the Dundalk United Methodist Church until its closure.

Jim will be remembered by his family and loved ones for his stubborn, yet fiercely loving nature. Jim was a thrill seeker—he loved riding Space Mountain, hot air ballooning, and taking his grandson parasailing at the age of 78. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He loved Squires Restaurant, apple desserts, strawberry shortcake, glazed donuts, a senior coffee from McDonalds, and a Budweiser in a frosted glass. But most of all, he loved his family.

Jim is survived by his wife of 67 years, Laura (née Edwards), daughters, Patricia Hagan and Barbara Foust, son-in-law Charles Hagan, and grandchildren Katie Jones (Steve), Caroline Smith (Kevin) and Noah Hagan. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Jillian and Henry Jones and Allison Smith. Jim was predeceased by his parents Charles and Sophie Foust, brother, Stanley Foust and a great-granddaughter, Amelia James Smith.

Visitation will be held with the family at Duda Ruck Funeral Home on Wise Avenue in Dundalk from 9:00-10:00 on Tuesday,October 27th. A service to celebrate Jim's life will follow at 10:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association of America.
