On May 5, 2026, Herbert "Butch" Basnight, Jr., beloved husband of Barbara A. Rodgers; devoted father of Letesha Basnight and stepfather of Sean Rodgers, Trena Cortez, and Terrell Rodgers;  loving grandfather of Zion, Isaiah Sr., Khiell, Jr., Jeremiah, Janae, and Zariah; cherished great grandfather of Isaiah, Jr., Kash, Jeremiah Jr., and Royalty; dear brother of Andre Basnight and the late Shawn Davis; also survived by extended family and friends.

Friends may visit at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd.  (beltway exit 26), on Saturday, May 16th, from 12  to 2 PM, at which time a Funeral Service will begin.  Interment private.
