On September 9, 2012, Henry A., beloved husband of the late Eleanore S. Ackerman (nee Wisniewski), devoted father of Paul, James, and Kenneth Ackerman, Patricia A., and her husband James F. Gardner, and the late Henry A. Ackerman Jr., dear grandfather of Angela Marie and Jonathan Gardner, beloved son of the late John and Matilda Ackerman, dear brother of Margaret Hill of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and the late John, Joseph, Benjamin, and Charles Ackerman, Sophie Feldmann Fogle, Gertrude A. Newman, and Catherine Rosen and many nieces and nephews. He served in the Army with the 835th Signal Service Bn. during WWII in the China-Burma-India Theatre.

A Vigil Service will be held at the family-owned Leonard J. Ruck Funeral Home, Inc., 5305 Harford Road (at Echodale), on Thursday at 3 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 5010 Bowleys Lane, Baltimore, MD 21206 on Friday 10 AM. Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
