On July 31, 2011 Helen Filipidis, beloved wife of the late James N. Filipidis; loving mother of Irene Peltsemes and Voulie (deceased), Betty and William Dawson and Julie and James Soutar; dear sister of Adrienne Houzouris and George J. Lambros; predeceased by sisters Julia Polemis and Anastasia Maggelakis and brother John J. Lambros; dear grandmother of Eleni Peltsemes, Dorie and Phillip Stavrakis, Tony and Katina Dawson, Greg Dawson, Adam and Eve Soutar, Justin Soutar and James Filipidis. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, 1050 York Rd., (beltway exit 26), Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Trisaghion service will be held at 7:30 PM. Mrs. Filipidis will lie in state at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Wednesday 10-10:30 AM, at which time a funeral service will be held. Interment St. Demetrios Cemetery.
