Hari
Singla
d. May 13, 2026
Hari Chand Singla, beloved husband of Arun Singla; devoted father of Monti and Liz Singla, Sarika and Anuj Agarwal, and Sumeer and Suzanne Singla; loving grandfather of Akash, Kavi, Suhani, Asha, Anika, and Amaya passed away on May 13, 2026, at the age of 82.
Born in Maur Mandi, Punjab, India, Mr. Singla lived a full and rich life. He graduated at the top of his class with a law degree from Punjab University. At the age of 24, he became the youngest judge in Punjab, where he served with distinction for 20 years.
Mr. Singla made the courageous decision to move his family from India to small farming town in Othello, Washington State, where he owned and managed an apple and cherry orchard for the next 12 years. He instilled a strong work ethic in his children who have all gone on to become successful in their chosen careers.
Next, Mr. Singla moved to Timonium to be closer to his extended family. Here, he worked as a bookkeeper at a concrete plant, owned a liquor store, became a certified tax planner, and finished his career as a certified interpreter in Punjabi and Hindi.
Mr. Singla could be counted on to tell a joke or tell a funny anecdote every time he met someone, even a stranger. His mischievous smile and his spirit will be missed. Not to mention his amazing hair.
Mr. Singla was most passionate about his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He was known for his generosity, not only spending money on his children but also giving sage advice. His face would light up every time one of his six grandchildren walked through the door, or he heard a story about them. He loved having his grandchildren sit next to him so he could tell them about lessons he learned throughout his life. His legacy lives through his grandchildren, as he desired.
