On January 24, 2025, Gerard "Jerry" James Hild passed away peacefully in Glen Arm, MD. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Ann Hild (nee Willis); devoted father of Sandy Duff and her husband Robert, Debbie Nizer and her husband Daniel, and Douglas Hild and his wife Caryn; loving grandfather of Shayna, Jessica, Chelsi, Christina, and Justin; cherished great-grandfather of Paris, Shyloh, Dominic, Elias, Sawyer, Charlotte and Peyton.

Friends may visit the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26) on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8pm and the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2025, at 10:30am. The interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse International Relief at http://www.samaritanspurse.org
